Snow Parking Ban Reminder
Winter is in full swing. Just a friendly reminder about snow parking bans and where to find out if one is in effect. A snow parking ban pertains to all city streets is not cancelled until a North Royalton Police Department supervisor deems all roads safe and clear, which typically occurs after snow plow operations have been completed. Violators of the snow parking ban are subject to parking citations and/or impoundment of their vehicles. If you like to find out if a snow parking ban is in place you can check out the NRPD Facebook page. You can also see updates in the Facebook and Twitter feed portions of my website’s homepage at www.danlangshaw.com

Greetings Ward 3 Resident,

Although the holiday season is close upon us, things continue to remain relatively busy here in city government as we start to prepare for the 2020 transition with a majority of new City Council members and Mayor. I want to offer my sincere congratulations to Mayor-Elect Larry Antoskiewicz Read More and all the newly elected members of City Council that were elected in the November 5th General Election. Read More.

Thank You Ward 3!

Ralph Regula one of Ohio’s longest-serving members of the United States Congress was known for his legacy of putting constituents first. He once said “It gives me a lot of satisfaction to help someone with a problem. My home telephone’s in the book. I never had an unlisted number because I think it’s important that people have access.” Like the late Congressman Regula constituent service comes first to me. I truly love what I do to help all of you residents when you need me and making a positive difference in the lives of so many Ward 3 residents and our community! My sons Henry, Derek, and I want to thank all of you for recently on November 5th electing me to serve another two-year term on City Council. It is my greatest honor to continue to serve the over 5,500 residents that call North Royalton Ward 3 home and being their voice on City Council. In 2020 I will be one of the most senior members of City Council. I am excited as a leader to use my experience and energy to work with my newly elected colleagues on Council and Mayor to do some exciting new things to move our city forward even more. In January I will be officially sworn in for my fourth elected term on City Council. Again thank you!

Have a great rest of the week!

Just a few quick items to update you on.

Phase 2 of Albion Road Resurfacing Project Starts Today

Crossroads Asphalt Recycling will begin the second part of the asphalt paving of Albion Road between West 130th Street to York Road starting on September 16th. Both lanes of traffic will be affected during this project and it should take about 1 month to complete. Also starting September 16th Ward 3 Residents who live on that part of Albion Road (between York & Abbey Road) will still receive trash/recycle service on your regularly scheduled day during construction. However, in order to alleviate refuse traffic in this area during the construction process, refuse trucks will be there at 7:00am  for collection. Please make note of this specific time and place any and all trash/recycling out before 7:00am.

Fall Community Shred Event
The next Community Shred Event will be on September 21st from 9:00am to 12:00pm located at 14600 State Rd (City Hall/Memorial Park parking lot). This event is open to all North Royalton, non-business, residents (please make sure you bring proper identification) at no cost. Acceptable items include financial documents, bank statements, tax returns, credit card statements, expired credit cards, insurance forms and records, junk mail, family records and confident information. Staples and small paper clips are okay, but here’s a list of what you can’t bring: Newspapers, phone books, magazines, binders, books, pendaflex folders, food and candy wrappers, waxed paper, photographs, napkins and Styrofoam containers. May 6, 2019 North Royalton Ward 3 Councilman Dan Langshaw & Ward 4 Councilman Paul Marnecheck House Bill 166 Joint Testimony before Ohio House Finance Committee

Chairman Oelslager, Vice Chair Scherer, Ranking Member Cera, and committee members. My name is Dan Langshaw and I am the Ward 3 Councilman on the North Royalton City Council. I am also accompanied by my colleague North Royalton Ward 4 Councilman Paul Marnecheck. Thank you for the opportunity for us both to testify on House Bill 166 the State Operating Budget.

The residents we both serve and all Ohioans wonder why there are so many communities having to put more levies, bond issues, and other ballot measures these days? Why are our highways, roads, bridges, and infrastructure falling apart in our state? The answer is looking you in the mirror. It is the leadership in Columbus for almost a decade that has caused this mess. Local governments historically have not been getting the funding they desperately need to address these issues in our communities.
