Greetings Ward 3 Resident,

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving with their family and friends! About 13 more days till Christmas! Also I have been married to my wonderful bride and First Lady of Ward 3 Marissa for almost 5 months now. Wow, time really has flown by this year! As we approach the end of 2016, things remain relatively busy in City Government with much to update you on below.

Ward 3 E-Newsletter: November 2016

Greetings Ward 3 Resident,

I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween. Also what a good fight our Cleveland Indians put up in the World Series this past week in Game 7. Although they fell short to those Chicago Cubs, congrats still for a great season by them and being the 2016 American League Champions! Looking ahead the holiday season is close upon us, things continue to remain relatively busy here in city government as we start to prepare the 2017 city budget. Before I get into my update for this month, just have a few quick reminders.


Daylight Savings Time Ends

Don’t forget Sunday, November 6th we go off daylight savings time. Please remember to turn your clocks back one hour. Also it might be a good idea to check all the smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector batteries in your home too; just to make sure they are working properly.

Ward 3 Quick Update October 11, 2016

Ward 3 Resident,

I have gotten a few phone calls and emails from residents about a few issues. As a result I like to give you a quick update on a few items below.

Rubbish/Recycling Collection
Yesterday was Columbus Day. There is no delay in collection for this week due to the holiday. Your regular pick up day will be as normal. Click Here for more information.


Vote by Mail

Tomorrow October 11th Vote by Mail begins for the November 8th General Election. To avoid lines on Election Day, and to allow extra time to study the ballot, all registered voters may Vote by Mail. Vote by Mail ballot applications are available at the Board of Elections website by Clicking Here, by calling the Board of Elections at 216-443-8683, and at all public libraries.

Fall is officially here and so is Playoff Baseball! Congrats to the Cleveland Indians for being AL Central Champions! Even with the change of season things remain relatively busy here in city government with a number of things to report on below.

Ward 3 E-Newsletter: September 2016

Greetings Ward 3 Resident,

School is officially back in session. I like to wish all the students who love in Ward 3 a great 2016-2017 school year! The summer went by so fast this year and there is a number of things to report.


Ward 3 Picnic in the Park Event
I will be hosting a Ward 3 Picnic in the Park Event this Saturday September 3rd from 1-3pm at Memorial Park Pavilion #2 located at 14600 State Rd in North Royalton. In the case of rain the event will be held inside the community room at city hall. I invite all North Royalton Ward 3 residents to come out to enjoy a fun afternoon in the park. Filled with FREE food, games, and a chance to meet fellow neighbors too. Special appearance by the North Royalton Fire Department for the kids. Residents will also have an opportunity to explore all the recent improvements to Memorial Park such as the new fountain by the pond, playground, and city hall. Donations are welcome at the event to help support MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association) which mission is to improve and help save the lives of the more than 1 million Americans affected by muscle diseases. For more information please contact me by email at ward3@northroyalton.org or call 440-785-4240. Greetings Ward 3 Resident,

Wow the summer is going by fast. It is hard to believe it is already August. Before you know it will be back to school time. Just a reminder there still is time to donate to the Annual Operation North Royalton Cares Program, which runs till August 12th. The mission of Operation North Royalton Cares is to collect basic school supplies for families of students in need in the North Royalton School Community. The program is supported by the North Royalton City School Community, North Royalton YMCA in coordination with the City of North Royalton Office on Aging & Human Services. Ward 3 Quick Update July 25, 2016

Ward 3 Resident,

I just have a few quick items to update you on.

Before I get into my update. On a personal note I want to say thank you to all of you who have offered my family and me your condolences about the very unexpected death of my 37 year old cousin Darryl Langshaw on July 3rd. My cousin Darryl leaves behind a wife, and daughters ages 1 and 4 here in North Royalton. Some of you have also asked how you can help. Your prayers are most appreciated. A memorial fund has also been established for his children. Click Here if your interested in learning more. Again thank you so much for all your support it has meant so much to my family!

City Deer Hunting Permits
Residents interested in obtaining a Municipal Deer Damage Control Permit can stop by now the North Royalton Police Department at 14000 Bennett Road to obtaining all the necessary paperwork for an application or online starting this week on their website by Clicking Here. All applications must be submitted no later than August 15th for state bow hunting season (September-February). Click Here to read more.

Greetings Ward 3 Resident,

Today July 4th marks the 240th birthday for our nation. For generations we as Americans have been blessed to live freely. It is easy to forget sometimes the true meaning behind Independence Day. Abraham Lincoln said it best “Government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the Earth”. A big reason why we are a free and great nation is because of the sacrifices made by our brave men and woman in the US Military. So today if you see a veteran or a service member in uniform, thank them for their service.

It is great to see both the Lake Erie Monsters Hockey Team and Cavs playing for the Championship in their sports. Exciting time for Cleveland Sports that is for sure. Things remain relatively steady in your City Government with a few items to update you on below.

Rumpke Rubbish & Recycling Holiday Schedule Reminder
In observance of Memorial Day, Rumpke trash and recycling collection will be delayed one day the entire week of May 30th. Rumpke will resume its normal schedule the week of June 6th. I have gotten a few phone calls from folks who were unsure. Just a reminder Click Here for the list of Rumpke Rubbish & Recycling Collection Holiday Schedule for 2016. Also you can find information on the homepage of my website at www.danlangshaw.com if you are ever unsure if Rumpke Holiday Schedule.
