LAST WEEK IN YOUR SCHOOL BOARD
Attended the High School’s Open House on August 30th. It was great welcoming back all our students, parents, teachers, and support staff at all our high school. This school year I will be serving as the School Board Building Liaison for the High School, which means I am the main point of contact for issues related to the high school with the board.

It was so great seeing many of you at North Royalton Home Days this past weekend! The first day of school is this week August 25th for grades 1-12. I just want to welcome back all our students, parents, teachers, and staff back to start of the 2010-2011 school year. I look forward to all the upcoming school activities, academic and athletic events.

Wow, the summer has gone by pretty fast! It is very exciting that the new school year will be starting very soon for the more than 4,700 amazing students that we have here in the North Royalton School District! The district is focused on continuing our mission to inspire and empower learners for another exciting new year. I look forward to all the upcoming school activities, academic and athletic events that will be starting soon as well as we approach the start of the school!

LAST WEEK IN YOUR SCHOOL BOARD
Attended the Kick Off Event for Operation NR CARES at the French Quarter Café on August 9th. The event was to help start Operation NR CARES a week long drive August 9-15th that benefits the North Royalton/Kiwanis Emergency Food Bank and families of students in need of basic school supplies in the North Royalton Community. A good number of residents, administrators, and school board members came out to enjoy a nice sampling of traditional New Orleans food. Most importantly people brought several packed boxes full of school supplies and can food items. The event was a huge success! I just like to thank the French Quarter Café for sponsoring this event! This Thursday, July 29th I will be having my next monthly constituent coffee at the French Quarter Café located at 5540 Wallings Road in North Royalton from 6pm to 8pm. Happy 4th of July everyone! On this day please remember our men and women currently serving in the U.S. Military who are so proudly and bravely fighting out on the front lines, so that we don’t have to. They will miss all the great family cookouts, parades, and even fireworks. Today let’s demonstrate our gratitude to all of them, by displaying our flags in honor of their selfless service and sacrifice. Display your flags for all our veterans who served and especially for those that never got to return to their families. Thank you to all of our soldiers, veterans, and their families. We enjoy freedom every day because of them! Happy Birthday America!!!
