Ward 3 E-Newsletter: September 2014

Greetings Ward 3 Resident,

Hope you and your family had a great Labor Day Weekend. Wow, the summer went by so fast and there is much to report.

Thank You!
I just wanted to thank all the Ward 3 Residents and our entire community for its recent support of the fifth annual Operation North Royalton Cares Program. Because of your continued generosity, we will be able to help a large number of families of students who are in need of basic school supplies in our community this year. What makes North Royalton such a great place to live is how we come together to help our friends and neighbors who are in need. I want to give special thanks to the North Royalton City School District, city of North Royalton Office on Aging & Human Services, North Royalton Kiwanis Club, North Royalton Library, North Royalton Branch of First National Bank, Royalton Recorder, The 3 Spot, North Royalton Family YMCA and all the other individuals who helped make this program a continued success! Thank you!

Holiday Schedule for Rumpke Waste and Recycling
In recognition of the Labor Day holiday, Rumpke Waste and Recycling service will be delayed one day the week of September 1st. This means that if your regular pick up day is Monday, your rubbish will be picked up on Tuesday, Tuesday collection will move to Wednesday, Wednesday collection will move to Thursday, Thursday collection will move to Friday and Friday collection will move to Saturday. Rumpke will resume their regular pick up schedule the week of September 8th.

Have a great week!

North Royalton Community Festival Parade
On August 24th marched in the North Royalton Community Festival Parade. It was great to see so many Ward 3 residents along the parade route! I hope everyone enjoyed the Community Festival and Parade!

Back to School Safety Reminder
The North Royalton City School District is back in sessions. Drivers please be careful driving in school zones. Schools buses are back on the roads and students will be crossing streets throughout Ward 3 to catch those buses. Be mindfully of the post speed limits of 25mph in the residential areas of our ward as well and keeping the appropriate distance away from a bus when they stop. I wish all kids in our ward who have returned back to school a great 2014-2015 school year too!
